Pinwheel Baby Blanket

My mom is in the hospital and the only good thing about having someone you love in the hospital is that you get a lot of quality knitting time. Currently on the needles is the Pinwheel Baby Blanket in baby bamboo. It's deliciously soft and comforting to work in the hospital.

As for the baby bamboo (in Putty), it's a DK weight and feels flimsy on size US 5 Addi Turbos but my friends keep telling me I'm being silly. I remain unconvinced and wish I had started on 4s. I guess I like things more structured and neat (yanno - unlike the rest of my life).

So I was in my mom's hospital room, trying to adjust the wire of my underwire bra which had broken free of the fabric and was now poking me dangerously near my one and only heart. Walking to my car a couple hours later, I realized I was about to enter a parking garage alone at night. Keep eye out for dangerous looking creeps hiding behind concrete pillars, I thought, and then quickly imagined myself fighting off a would-be attacker by deftly pulling out my underwire sword in an impressive Catwoman-like move. I think that means I'm tired.

Hope all is well in your world.
